And he did not want anyone to know, for he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise.” But they did not understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him.
Mark 9:33-37 – And they came to Capernaum. And when he was in the house he asked them, “What were you discussing on the way?” But they kept silent, for on the way they had argued with one another about who was the greatest. And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.” And he took a child and put him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them, “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.”
Mark 10: 42-45 – And Jesus called them to him and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
John 13:12-17 – When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.”
John 15:12-15 – “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”
Above scriptures are from the NIV Bible
I have read and have heard these scriptures being preached upon many times. Only until now have I realized Jesus was teaching and talking to his disciples during this discourse.
Many times, we have innocently expected Jesus was talking to us. Although the message can be very much applied to our lives.
At the time of writing this blog, we as a nation Canada, are coincidentally entering into two important events that will shape and determine the direction of our nation.
The two events are the federal election, April 28th and Easter, April 20th. Easter is the commemoration of Jesus’s death and resurrection.
I do believe we as Christian believers should participate in all aspects of our community as time permits, within our principled confines and being true servants.
Unfortunately, many times in many aspects of our community life we allow our principled confines to be compromised and diluted. Politics, community groups and yes even churches involve the art of compromise. Be prepared when entering into these realms After a prolonged period of compromising one may not be able to determine your original principles.
There is a progression revealed in the above scriptures. First of all, learn how to be a servant, serving and loving others. Then doing what Jesus reveals from the Father and in turn being referred to as friends.
For individuals endeavouring to run for office learn how to be a servant, not just by talk but by actual actions. If you are a believer let it be known by your actions. We have heard it many times, “talk is cheap”.
Sadly, our main federal political parties have morphed into identities that do not adhere to the sanctity of human life. Our fellow humans have become in essence, commodities. Party leaders have removed the right of their MPs to vote freely accordingly to their principles. Forcing dissenters be back benchers or independents if they do not toe the line.
We need leaders to allow and promote free voting within their parties. Hopefully that would solve the problem of a party splintering into factions.
Canadian believers in politics please don’t continue to splinter but be an example within existing parties.
Yes, just like the above sequence of scripture. Mark 9:30-32 states Jesus was going to be delivered into the hands of men, and he was going to be killed. We in turn will be in a similar situation and will be persecuted in various manners. We are called to be servants and then his friend.
We have a lot more to be concerned about this election. Not just tariffs, social problems, etc. but the possibility of loosing many of our freedoms that many take for granted. A catch phrase used by an infamous entity may sum it up “you will own nothing and be happy”.
Please pray for each and every candidate that is running that the Lord will have His way and will bless them accordingly.
There is a promise revealed in Mark 9:30-32; “after three days he will rise”. When we are in the Lord, we will share in the resurrection power.
Happy voting and have a Blessed Easter

<![CDATA[Divine Right or Right to Rule]]>Fri, 04 Feb 2022 16:44:45 GMThttps://danswindow.ca/my-view-blog/divine-right-or-right-to-rule“Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you. But if you still do wickedly, you shall be swept away, both you and your king.”
I do not claim to be a prophet or seer, although intuition takes hold.
For those individuals that tout or are the recipients of this decree. I believe the right to rule is being removed from you. The masses will move, be victorious and will judge. The pendulum is swinging.

Divine Right or Right to Rule, phrases I have encountered many times in my genealogical and family research.
Divine Right is no longer valid as our monarchies, church and government leaders deviate from the Lord. How can they claim a divine right when they do not acknowledge and uphold Him?
The same for anyone claiming God given rights, although they do not acknowledge and uphold Him?
2 Tim. 3:1-8
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith. But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men.”
The Right to Rule is somewhat different although equated with the Divine Right. Right to Rule to me is void of acknowledging God’s appointment but the appointment of man, namely the power elite. In the past in Canada groups such as Council of Twelve in Nova Scotia, the Family Compact in Upper Canada, and Château Clique in Lower Canada. Now these groups are replaced with larger global organizations. I am not saying these groups have disappeared only incorporated into a rope of many cords and strands.
History repeating…when will we learn?
Who will the leaders be next? Will they corrupt the intentions of the movement and become demigods?
 The Calling of Samuel
1Sam. 3 – “Now the boy Samuel was ministering to the Lord in the presence of Eli…And the Lord came and stood, calling as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant hears.””
Israel wanted a king. Samuel warns against the demand:
1Sam. 8:10 So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking for a king from him. He said, “These will be the ways of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and appoint them to his chariots and to be his horsemen and to run before his chariots. And he will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and some to plow his ground and to reap his harvest, and to make his implements of war and the equipment of his chariots. He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive orchards and give them to his servants. He will take the tenth of your grain and of your vineyards and give it to his officers and to his servants. He will take your male servants and female servants and the best of your young men and your donkeys, and put them to his work. He will take the tenth of your flocks, and you shall be his slaves. And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”
Saul was Proclaimed King
1Sam10:17 Now Samuel called the people together to the Lord at Mizpah. And he said to the people of Israel, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and I delivered you from the hand of the Egyptians and from the hand of all the kingdoms that were oppressing you.’ But today you have rejected your God, who saves you from all your calamities and your distresses, and you have said to him, ‘Set a king over us.’ Now therefore present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes and by your thousands.”
Samuel’s Second Warning
1Sam.12:13-15, 23-25 And now behold the king whom you have chosen, for whom you have asked; behold, the Lord has set a king over you. If you will fear the Lord and serve him and obey his voice and not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, and if both you and the king who reigns over you will follow the Lord your God, it will be well. But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord, but rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then the hand of the Lord will be against you and your king. …Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you, and I will instruct you in the good and the right way. Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you. But if you still do wickedly, you shall be swept away, both you and your king.”

<![CDATA[The Lord of Everything]]>Fri, 04 Feb 2022 16:41:24 GMThttps://danswindow.ca/my-view-blog/the-lord-of-everything
As I pondered for my first article for this blog, all I had to do was look at the above picture. It reminded me of the song written by Ralph Carmichael; “He is Everything to Me”.
“In the stars His handiwork I see”. For me, I remember the day I captured this picture in the Philippines. I saw The Lord’s handiwork in the clouds. A sight we often take for granted or we are completely oblivious to.

The Apostle Paul in the New Testament book of Acts, stood in the midst of Mars hill (Areopagus) and proclaimed to the people of Athens, “God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. 30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”(Acts17:24-30 KJV)
Not only are we reminded of the presence of the Lord but also of His greatness. We stand before him in awe. Recognizing His greatness and supreme Lordship, one would also be lead to realize how vital He is to us and how we have fallen short in our fellowship with Him.
Isaiah upon seeing the Lord (Isaiah6:5) declared “5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.”
Paul reminds us in Acts 17:30 that all men need to repent because there will be a time of judgement.
Isaiah reveals after his confession of unclean lips (Isaiah6:6-7 KJV); 6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
These verses in Isaiah have remained etched in my mind.
Isaiah goes on to say “8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”
Repentance and being cleansed of sin is definitely needed in preparation for judgement but also to tell others; to see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, convert and be healed.

<![CDATA[Value]]>Wed, 05 Feb 2020 12:19:45 GMThttps://danswindow.ca/my-view-blog/valueWould you want yourself, your family to work for less than what they are worth.
Our time is precious. When we work we are trading our time for money which in turn is taxed accordingly to our laws of the land. For some of us we are taxed twice; with income tax and HST. Then on top of this, some individuals absorb the HST and pay that themselves, not charging the customer.
When performing any trade on/in any home you are building equity in that home. If, in that home there are "able bodied individuals" such as husband, wife, children within age, friends and even themselves; and then they ask someone else to work at a cheap rate under the table with no tax to build equity in the home something is wrong with the picture. Sorry folks this is wrong, to take advantage of someone time and efforts. Even more so when they maybe in a time of need themselves.
Well I most definitely will come under fire for saying something is "wrong". That is very typical for a society that does not like laws, rules, morals, etc.; anything goes that one can get away with.

<![CDATA[The Same Blunder Repeated]]>Mon, 13 Jan 2020 16:49:17 GMThttps://danswindow.ca/my-view-blog/the-same-blunder-repeatedTHE SAME BLUNDER REPEATED IS NO LONGER A BLUNDER, IT IS A RESOLUTION
Some time ago, 1987-88 to be approximate, I was at a gathering for a funeral and met a fellow who recently immigrated from Poland. He explained to me how his homeland's political thought was changing from socialism to more individualism and a freedom seeking state. The evening of 9 November 1989 is known as the night the Wall (Berlin Wall) came down.December 31, 1989; David Hasselhoff sang his hit song "Looking for Freedom" on a platform at the end of a twenty-meter steel crane that swung above and over the Wall adjacent to the Brandenburg Gate.
Unfortunately, our country Canada was deceitfully slipping the other way under the guise of conservatism.
Brian Mulroney was our Prime minister at that time until 1993. Mulroney well known for his many connections, roles and legacies: Consultant, partner, director, lobbyist; GST - Goods and Service Tax, NAFTA - Canada-US Free Trade Agreement and signed the Earth Summit declaration in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1992... the beginnings of the UN Agenda 21/ Agenda 2030.
Make no mistake Mr. Mulroney was fully behind and bringing Canada into Agenda 21. "In his address at the Earth Summit on 12 June 1992, Prime Minister Brian Mulroney pledged Canada's full support for the funding of international action to fulfill the environmental Conventions agreed to in Rio."[i]
Many Conservatives want to forget, and many others are oblivious to the fact, conservatism in Canada was divided from 1987 with the Reform Party and then Canadian Alliance in 2000 until merger with the Progressive Conservatives to form the Conservative Party.
Sadly, to say the people of the Reform/Alliance Party was sucked back into the progressive, liberalism, socialism and globalism found rampant in the mainstream political parties. Namely, social conservatives and faith groups too were manipulated into accepting the agenda of globalism wrapped up in the Canadian version of progressive conservatism. What happened to the discussions on abortion, euthanasia, etc.
Here we find conservatism at a crossroads again. Yes, the same differences have resurfaced as in previous divisions. Although this time around there is a definite discrepancy between the two branches; globalism and non globalism. This standing alone should be a red flag to the social and fiscal conservatives. Their way of thinking is not at home with the CPC. It is the crucial time to break away, although the warning signs have been there all along. The real conservatives were sucked in.
There is no real difference between the Conservative Party of Canada and the other parties advocating globalism; only petty differences in reaching their goal. The CPC is no longer a conservative party, only in name. Sorry fellow conservatives nothing has changed. I am not willing to make the same blunder again.

<![CDATA[Why I Left a Landowner Group]]>Mon, 13 Jan 2020 16:37:40 GMThttps://danswindow.ca/my-view-blog/january-13th-2020Why I left a landowner group but not the Landowner Movement.
Unfortunately, a landowner group like any other organization could be; is hoodwinked into believing certain political identities are the one and only to be followed.
The men and women within the landowner movement are everyday people, my neighbours, friends and folks from all walks of life.
Our area of Renfrew county has become and area of stagnation for industry and growth. Our children and citizens must move elsewhere to find meaningful work.
What really is going on is protectionism for certain individuals or residents of the region. After many folks who reach a point of financial despair, properties and possessions can be bought up cheaply and in the case of a business, the competition disappears.
I am relatively new to the county, but one does not have to be a rocket scientist to see and know what is going on. How many more farms and properties are going to fall into a state of disrepair and then close? Many conversations with residents reveal the evident and the associated bitterness.
Mean while the voters are hiding behind social issues such as abortion and “do not split the vote” to direct their voting habits. Don't get me wrong the social issues are important. Stand with proper candidates who are and will stand up for them and our region. For the time being the parties, in which are and have been represented; provide Band-Aid solutions. Concrete, long lasting solutions have not transpired to remedy the issues. These parties are part of the problem.
Individual Freedom, Personal Responsibility, Fairness and Respect; these principles are the backbone of the Landowner Movement, I am going to hold on to.

<![CDATA[Thought Control]]>Mon, 13 Jan 2020 16:31:37 GMThttps://danswindow.ca/my-view-blog/thought-controlFreedom of the press, proper debate and civil discussion where did it all go?
Prior to confederation three groups were very active and held the balance of power and control of their perspective areas; Family Compact in Upper Canada, Château Clique in Lower Canada and the Council of Twelve in Nova Scotia.
Members of these groups were notably against democratic reform and responsible government.

Wealthy, religious merchant elite linked by family or common associations.
It is believed certain individuals wanted to recreate British society in Canada and that an aristocratic governing class was essential to that goal. "Good and bad men standing together"; a quote from an online YouTube video, “Joseph Howe: Tribune of Nova Scotia".
This was done by limiting leadership positions in the colonies to people with connections, business ties and family relationships.
The unelected branches of government answered only to the lieutenant-governors, producing ineffective elected Legislative Assemblies.
Fortunately, men such as newspaper man, Joseph Howe took a stand in Nova Scotia. Ironically Joe was a Liberal and my 1st cousin 6 times removed.
In 1848, the first responsible government in British North America was granted.
This exclusive group mentality is happening again through the so-called elites of our society or did it ever go away. I would be safe in saying, it was here, stayed here and in some cases repackaged.
Freedom of the press, or is it bought and manipulated?
But is it just the elites?
Some would say it is the Liberals or the folks on the left; I would beg to differ.
It is any group, family or organization that holds the sway of power in a specified area.
Families, unions, landowner groups, lodges... the list is extensive.
It is classic to show unpreferred treatment for people who do not support their narrative or share their agenda.
Debate and civil discussion is highly unlikely; they would rather censor free speech and expression.
It is our choice to think critically or to go with the flow, the status quo.

<![CDATA[News]]>Sat, 05 Jan 2019 15:10:31 GMThttps://danswindow.ca/my-view-blog/newsAs I boot up the desk top computer this morning; my window into this big world. One realizes the condition of our news outlets. At one time, there were at least a couple of TV and radio stations rural folks could tune into for the latest news. The latest news that was somewhat unfiltered, free to access and trusted.
Now because of new technology rural folks have to pay for anything and all we get; biased, commercial laden, extremely filtered, news based on the idealistic and seemingly communistic dictatorship we have leading our country and society.

Here in Ontario, the digital TV broadcast services are offered to the urban people for free. Although in the countryside, we are still stuck with analog signals. That is if we can get them due to the increased saturation of our environment with microwave, cell phone signals and a weakened sending signal.
Yes the rural inhabitants are being forced to take on expenses we did not have to endure before. The bunny ears or antenna masts and wired phones worked out fine.
What a heart breaker when we are told if we want our utility bills to be mailed out we have to pay extra. Although if we agree to accept them online they are free. There is something wrong here.
Folks we have to get something straight here; jobs are disappearing due to this ever increasing cut back of service and prices are not going down. Only the wages of bureaucrats and CEOs are increasing. Soon our postal service, bank tellers and cashiers will be a thing of the past.
We made our pilgrimages into town to pay our bills, buy groceries or the needed essentials for our homes.
Some did not necessarily have worry about groceries; they grew or raised their food. Now because of government and bureaucratic regulations this is becoming more difficult or stopped.
Do we really need all the stress and anxiety this consumer driven society is pushing on us. It is time to say "no it is not needed".
Wow! What a flood of thoughts all due to the news or no news.

<![CDATA[Take a Stand]]>Mon, 14 Sep 2015 14:25:21 GMThttps://danswindow.ca/my-view-blog/take-a-standDoes it not give you a sense of joy and admiration when you witness someone genuinely standing up for something very honourable that they deeply care about?
Friday afternoon at the Renfrew Fair, a young man, wounded ex soldier and a loyal supporter of his candidate he was representing; left his display booth to console a fellow wounded warrior with no fanfare and no display of tribal colours.

The intoxicated wounded warrior was without a doubt depressed, showing his many battle scars to anyone who would pay attention. He could not understand why his situation and why the lack of support.
Not only did the sentry spend some precious time with the ex warrior, he also made sure the fellow was getting home safely.
This recount of events was not a staged publicity stunt.
Just prior to his call to action he explained to me his candidate's platform; better care and benefits for veterans, improved highways for our area, Internet for the rural areas.
Despite my possible political and philosophical differences, I am impressed by this gentle man's caring attitude and actions.
Occupying a booth beside my new friend's station were more individuals taking a stand, again with no fanfare or in your face showing off attitudes. They are soldiers of a different kind; giving a voice for the unborn.
As a country we need to acknowledge, protect and provide for our soldiers before we endeavour to bring others into our country. As a country please acknowledge, protect and provide for the unborn before and after birth. God forgive us if we don’t.
I am not endorsing any politician here only the unselfish acts of genuine caring and the individuals partaking in them.
